Hi, I’m Lizzy—your Relaxation Expert, Neuro-Somatic Doctor of Physical Therapy, and founder of Joyful Movement.
I help busy women—whether you’re building a career, raising kids, or juggling both—who are doing all the right things: eating healthy, moving your body, getting sleep, showing up for everyone else… yet still feel worn out, anxious, stretched thin, and overwhelmed.
After years of trial and error, I discovered the one approach that actually works day in and day out: simple, body-based tools that reset stress fast and bring you back to calm, clarity, and presence.

I reached out to Lizzy in a state of intense overwhelm after a series of recent stressors. I could feel the persistent hum of stress and it was affecting my ability to focus, be present in my relationships, feel safe and comfortable navigating necessary daily routines, and riddled with anxiety. I have many tools to manage stress and my usual tactics weren’t “flipping the switch”. I have participated in Lizzy’s events and classes before and my nervous system held the memory of the power of her work. I was desperate for relief and knew I couldn’t do this alone. I reached with the request to support me in rebooting my nervous system. She graciously intuited a beautiful combination of protocols to support me and nourish my system. With clarity and certainty she got to work. Through hands on, passive protocols, I relaxed while she worked her magic. I laid on a massage table, simply focusing on my breath and relaxing. She applied gentle physical touch, similar to acupuncture without the needles, craniosacral, or Reiki, and we both felt as I slipped back into a more peaceful state. I felt both immediate relief AND a big “woosh” that ushered my final wave of anxiety through 24-47 hours after my session. I feel back in my body, focused, calm, and clear headed. The assistance, time, and money was well worth the relief I feel and I’m grateful to Lizzy for sharing her craft and the time I most needed helping hands.

I experienced the nervous system reset modality with Lizzy over the busy holiday season. I didn’t know what to expect but Lizzy made me feel very comfortable and at ease with her energy during the session. I could feel energy moving mostly through my lower legs (I’m recovering an acute injury to my left leg and chronic stiffness to my right ankle and calf). During some of the time I could see colors- mostly blue/ purple and one time a deep cranberry color swirling around in my minds eye. Other than these sensations I just noticed a sense of calm throughout my body and mind as Lizzy applied light pressure to various points on my body. I noticed I felt lighter and more centered right away. I had more rotational movement available in my spine and pelvis. Over the next several days I noticed I rebounded from stress back to my center more quickly than normal which is a really big shift for me. I definitely see the value in the experience- especially the improved stress resilience I had afterwards!
